Sometimes we need to feel that we live in the Here and Now. The best way to achieve it is TO BREATHE. When you breathe, you can feel the fresh air going into your nose, then your throat and finally how it fills your chest and your belly. You get full of clear and pure energy that goes through your entire body. Later you empty your chest from the deepest until it feels relaxed, and return to the world exhaust and warm air through your throat and your nose. Sometimes, we need a space from where to go in and out, just to remember that we are truly alive.

Te presento a mi hueco. A mí me apasiona. Y te lo quería contar.

This is my space. It looks like a small and insignificant one. But for me it is my way to come back to the present moment, the one and only. Since I started to knit, I was really attracted by knitwear design. How to shape a simple idea, how to create from needles and yarn. I began designing my own mittens very soon, and later other hats and lace patterns. There is nothing as knitting your own design. If you have enough time and want to learn and swatch, swatch and more swatch, I must say. I am so passionate about knitting design. And I wanted to tell you about it.

Now I've created this slouchy beanie named Respira (Breathe in Spanish). It represents how all the designing process makes me feel ALIVE, and full of energy, as if I were consciously breathing. It is easy to knit and very comfy. Besides, its lace pattern is very important for me. I got it from a little cardigan that my mother knitted me when I was just a baby. I changed it slightly, but I think it shows very well the idea of breathing, because it let air goes in and out of our head, of our body.

I knitted it as a birthday present for my friend Maria Jose, who has been sharing adventures and confidences with me for almost 20 years. She is so sweet and generous that has modeled it for my blog. We chose the Spain Square of Seville (Spain) for the photoshoot. As you can see, it is full of blues, light and energy.

Ya ves qué poquito te he hecho leer hoy. Te dejo que sigas con tus cositas. Y recuerda... RESPIRA.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. It is in Spanish, but I though that you'd like to read more about this woolly hat, as it received many Likes from all around the world on Instagram (more than usual for me!). I did my best with the language ;) I hope you enjoy it!

A big hug and have a wonderful day <3
